Hanmi Pharm wins the first K-ICT Information Protection Award in bio industry

Hanmi Pharm announced on Nov. 30 that it received the "K-ICT Information Protection Award" for the first time in the pharmaceutical bio industry.

The K-ICT Information Protection Grand Prize, which marks its 19th anniversary this year, is awarded by the Ministry of Science and ICT to companies and individuals who practice raising awareness of information protection and protecting autonomous information.

As a result of three stages of screening by the Science and Technology Evaluation Committee, Hanmi Pharm received the honor for the first time in the pharmaceutical industry as it was highly praised for its information protection management, excellence in information protection technology, and ability to respond to infringement.

Hanmi Pharm has established and implemented a systematic and independent information protection management system in preparation for the growing threat of cyber terrorism and information leakage for pharmaceutical bio companies.

In particular, Hanmi Pharm received excellent reviews in this award for operating an information protection committee to protect information and establishing its own development system to protect information on new drugs.

In fact, up until now since two years before the official activities of the information protection committee began, no information protection violations, personal information leaks, or security incidents have occurred.

In addition to this award, Hanmi Pharm acquired the ISO27001 (International Information Protection Management System) for the first time in the Korean pharmaceutical industry in 2018.

Woo Jong-soo, CEO of Hanmi Pharm, said, "Our efforts to establish a global-level information protection system through a sustainable management model will be recognized through this award. We will do our best to ensure that various projects, including research and development, are more robust under a high-level security system."
